FAQ

Does SCCI provide Teletherapy?

We do offer teletherapy services to new and existing clients. Teletherapy refers to psychotherapy provided via a safe and secure video platform that is easy to access. Scientific studies show that teletherapy is an effective alternative to in-person therapy. Our office manager will gladly discuss whether teletherapy would be a good fit for you.

Does SCCI take Insurance?

We currently accept limited insurance plans, but can provide you a statement that can be submitted for out-of-network reimbursement.

What is your cancellation policy

The time that is allotted for your therapy session is reserved for you. For this reason, we require a 24-hour cancellation notice. Appointments cancelled with less than a 24-hour notice will incur a $75 charge.

What is your fee?

$200 per 45-50minute individual session and $300 per 90minute couples' session.

What form of payment do you take?

Payments may be made using cash, check, money order or credit card (Mastercard or Visa).

Why do I need to provide my credit card before my session?

We require a credit card on file prior to your first session in case of a missed appointment. If you miss your appointment or if you cancel without a 24-hour notice, you will be charged a $75 fee.

Do you prescribe medication?

While we do not have psychiatrists on staff who can prescribe medication, we have strong relationships with providers in the community. We will refer you for consultation with a psychiatrist if your symptoms are severe enough to warrant exploration of whether medication would be an effective adjunctive treatment.

Can I bring my baby to my therapy session?

Yes! Infants are welcome to join you. We have a changing table in the bathroom if needed and our building is accessible to strollers. You are welcome to feed your baby while in session and attend to his/her/their other needs. Once your baby becomes an active toddler who needs more focused attention, we would encourage you to secure other childcare arrangements so you can attend your session alone.

Do you offer childcare?

Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to offer childcare while you are attending your session. However, we offer flexible early morning, daytime, evening, and weekend appointments in hopes of making psychotherapy more accessible to busy parents.

Do you offer therapy services in other languages?

At this time we also provide therapy in Spanish.
